thanky kate :)

I can cross a bunch of stuff off my list just because I have this awesome friend named Kate. We go on adventures and have crafternoons because we are the coolest :P But she's running away soon for 7 months and I'm going to miss her so freaking much so we have to jam-pack our adventures over the next couple of months so I get my Kate fix. I'm not making sense. LIST STUFF:

She got me a postsecret book for my birthday :) it's beautiful. So, 98). Own a postsecret or street art/graffiti book can be crossed off.

The last adventure we went on took us to st. ives for the night markets ( so another market crossed off for 25). ) which were cute. There were giant blow up ball things with children inside, floating on a pool thing which looked fun but not appropriate for dress wearing people such as ourselves. We saw Thelma and a kind of shitty band and loads of christmas stuff. Then we ran away to the beach and saw a ridiculous amount of people kite surfing ( which we didn't know the name of at the time ). After walking for forever we got to an ocean pool thing and decided that even though we brought swimmers and left them in the car we couldn't not go swimming so jumped in in our underwear. Meaning I can cross off another swimming sesh for 26). :) Jussaying, you don't realise how far you've walked along a beach until you have to walk back. The walk back is a bitch. But thai food and lads being arrested off a bus made things better :P

Speaking of swimming, I may have had a repeat adventure of the ocean pool thing variety last night. I say it counts because I was fully in the water, but I didn't stay there long. It was really fucking cold. And it sobered me up almost instantly. It was a really awesome bunch of people I was with though. I do love that crowd. And I freaking love the beach. I need to go more often.

WUP WUP WUP. Nick says I can cross off 15). because we had a horror movie marathon in the form of the Resident Evil movies. They were kind of stupid. I want to watch more zombie movies. I figured one universe wasn't enough to count as a horror movie marathon but whatevs. I like crossing shit off :)

snow trip.

So my list is going swimmingly. I went skiing last week :) It was a lot of fun but kind of painful. I did the lesson and was ridiculously awesome compared to everyone else. I fell over only twice. I bruised up my wrist because my watch decided to eat me on the second fall. I would have skied for long time but I was alone and it was freaking hot in my multitude of layers and skiing uses all these muscles I didn't like which ended in a constant hip cramp I couldn't really stretch out. Honestly, staying in a chalet with a bunch of friends makes for a sweet week. I'm all kinds of broke now though. Turns out holidaying is expensive. LAME.

Boring news, I got a health care card so I can finally go to the dentist. Maybe they'll pull out all my wisdom teeth. They haven't hurt in a while but that hasn't stopped them in the past. Bastards.

I took Mother Dearest to Glebe markets the other weekend so that's 7 down now. It was a pretty sweet mix of affordable jewellery, vintage clothing and cool nic-nacs. We got delicious food and I ate curry by choice. Butter chicken definitely counts. We then explored Glebe a bit and found vinnies where she bought me 4 shot glasses. Irresponsible parenting for the win.

Apparently, there will be a blood bank bus thing up at UTS, which is only walking distance away, in August. I hope they don't reject my blood. A friend got told she couldn't because she was anemic, which is a very real possibility for me too because meat is freaking expensive.

Bec and I walked to Redfern for a party the other night and things clicked. Sydney is confusing but I'm getting better. I can get to most places pretty easy now.

I can cross off 64). now because I took a very full happy froggy to the bank before going to the snow. Yay, cash. 76$ worth of 20c pieces. Not quite as much as last time but it definitely helped.

I went several days without a computer at the snow because internet was non-existant. Ditto reception. Travelling to the middle of no where and staying in a remote chalet has its drawbacks, but list helping is appreciated.

That's about it for now. Uni starts back on the 1st of August. I plan to get off the anti-depressants asap. I'm now hooked on Gossip Girl. Yep. Life's pretty sweet.

you are not your moustache

I had mad plans of making notes on all the books I'd read so I could blog about them but I forgot :| woops. I dyed bits of my hair blue again and got ditched 3 times, I feel this is sufficient excuse for forgetting. Plus, I remembered the name of the crazy stand-out book AND blogged about it so kudos to me. YES.

I'm back in Newtown. Not for long though. I go home soon, only to leave again, for Tamworth. Whole family driving the multiple hour trip on christmas day. I'm dreading the return trip more though, the dog will be coming back with us. And she's crazy.

I HAD OTHER THINGS TO SAY. Oh yeah. I can cross 63). off my list as I have officially saved 3000$. Then proceeded to spend it on my plane ticket. That's right, I'm officially going to London. I have a plane ticket and travel insurance. It is now going to happen. It was one of those crazy plans that I just assumed I'd be too lazy to follow through on, but there you go.

I never got around to blogging about my awesome day, couple of weekends back, but I realised it was mildly list related so now I'm making an effort: Mother Dearest and I went to a book sale thing which was ridiculous. There was so many people and books. It was excessively hot and I wore jeans and it was in a warehouse and I quite literally melted. But I got an enormous amount of books so it was ok. I spent 60$ and got many. I didn't count them and I can't demonstrate to you how big the stacks of books were but let's say more than what would fill one of those ugly enviro bags from woolies. LOTS, OK? And then Mother Dearest and I got coffee which was dandy and then home. I GOT CHANGED. So much melting. But no more. Then A picked me up and we went adventuring to the city to Paddy's markets ( which is where it becomes list related. But I need to read every post I've ever written to check it counts. FUCK ). I bought all too much but it's all lovely and therefore shutup :) And then back to hers and she introduced me to toddlers and tiaras ( or something ). Basically, small brats and idiotic parents chucking shit fits over plastic head jewellery. HILARIOUS. Go home and nap. Pretty good day, yes?

Goth Markets

So I'm going to back track a little here. I went to some markets last ( ? ) weekend and they were quite cute and I bought pretty stuff. Which I'm going to now share with you, which is only possible because my phone is amazing and has a semi decent camera. Yay. It's annoying to work bluetooth and whatnot to get them though.

TOTALLY WORKED IT OUT FRIENDS!

Spiders and coffins :) how much awesome?? SO MUCH. I can't wear them yet. SAD FACE. I don't know why I did this no jewellery thing. I've decided to blog all about it at the end of the month ( who knows, I may have found my camera by then! here's hoping ). I also bought myself an underbust corset. It's beautiful but a bitch to get on. Cool. Yeah. I'd tell you the story of the whole day but it's pretty boring, really, and it seems so long ago I can't remember if it was last weekend or not so details were going to be hazy anyway. Cliff notes version: met R and C, trained it, found it, shopped, met A and friend, got EXTREME hungry, giggled at the 'man skirt', ate subway, train home.

SPLENDID

I haven't written just a progress report ness in a while. Thought maybe I should update. How fun. Fairly certain last time I did this I explained it as a list of excuses of why I haven't been able to cross more off. Ah well.

Not really list related, but important all the same. Next semester of uni is coming up in a month and a bit. Yes, I have a lot of holidays. And no exams. So much fun. Anyway, next semester I'll be studying Illustration, Design Thinking, Digital Design Production and 20th Century Design Histories. The actual semester and learning and whatnot, I'm looking forward to. But the tutorial registration is what I'm fearing. Everyone in my course frantically trying to obtain the perfect 3 day week at the same time. SHITE.

Ok list. Ish. Shh. On Monday I went to the optometrist ( 6 months late ). Which got me thinking I should probably go to the dentist for 6). seeing as I haven't been since I was about 6 years old. Also, my wisdom teeth are still being annoying. And sparkly teeth would be fun. If they give me shit about my crooked tooth I'm gonna get cranky though. It doesn't hurt or bother me, I don't want or need braces. I should wait with the defensiveness until I get there. Sorry.

K and I went on an adventure yesterday to Chatswood. I'm still not sure why we went that far but I had fun :) On the way we went past this massive cemetery, and now I'm really keen to do 11). It's probably one of the weirder ones on my list but it's still something I really want to do. I just need to find someone to go with, otherwise I won't spend enough time and leave early, which I don't want to do.

There are some markets on a Sunday soon which I plan on going to with A :) They're goth/punk/hippie ness markets, which should make them even more fun. Sounds creeper, but I love to people watch, and people watching there will be awesome, what with the shoes and the hair. And then only 7ish more markets until I can cross off 25).

There is cake in my house. It's amazing. Muffins and chocolate mud cake. So there is no point for me to try a new cake recipe for 45)., so I'll end up using ANOTHER tuesday night recipe. I have already typed it out, A came over for dinner and wanted the recipe. How convenient. But that means no picture. Again. I've misplaced my camera ( again ) anyway. Hmph.

I'm sick of reading recommended books for 75). As much as I love the Anita Blake ones, you read 11ish books with the same characters you start craving new ness. And the last one had no story line, it was just violence and porn. This one I'm reading now seems better though. Still. E abused the read every book for 75). rule and so I'm going to read the millennium series and Harry Potter. I was going to read Harry anyway. And Mother Dearest would have recommended the millennium series eventually.

I am so far behind in blogging movies. It's terrible. I've watched all of Starwars, The Punisher, the A-Team and probably something else. And I'm going to the movies on Sunday. ARGH. Yep. Basically, shut up and write, bitch. But I'm the laziest person I know.

asian mini-mart and other quests of late

My melbourne trip was quite the fun. It's really easy to sum up quickly but I'm pulling the my-blog-my-rules line, and giving a step by step run down. But feel lucky in that you were going to get in detail diagrams and pictures illustrating various aspects of my weekend, but Jasper doesn't have a MS Paint alternative. Well, Adobe Illustrator but thats going high-tech and beyond my knowledge. So therefore, no diagrams or pictures. Photos though! I'm not very good at taking the tourist shots. Or even happy snaps. I secretly hate people who take photos. It's such a 'What are you doing?!' response. Half the time there's no point. And the pouting scares me. So I try not to subject others to this treatment. But I took a couple :)

DAY 1. Papa rushes me out the door. I almost forget my ticket ( as in give me the keys, I forgot something important, I know we're in the car already, it's REALLY important ). I get there with LOADS of time. They say get there 2 hours before so i figured an 1/1/2 would be fine. And get there with 2 hours. Cool? anyhoo... Airport. People start asking me questions. Do I look like a frequent flier? WTF? don't ask me! Airport breakfast alone was surprisingly good. Then I bought myself a book :) One of the Charlaine Harris one's I am missing.

Then I got on this plane. The one in the front, not the red one. I was mad excited by this stage. I love flying. I was the jittery kid waiting at the gates of Disneyland and everyone else looked bored or terrified. And then flying got more cool points because I had a window seat. And then everything crashed and burned because I was put next to a small child. And small child's sibling next to him. And the sibling felt the need to fake scream. TERRIBLE. Get there, get picked up. Realise why I miss my aunt so much. She's just so frikin awesome. And my little cousins are pretty adorable. Right, and then I ditched them for Rach.

See the child in the pink dress? MOST ANNOYING CHILD EVER. And wearing crocs. Now you agree with me.

Got on a train at this station. Trains in Melbourne are fucked. They are so confusing. The screens suck, there's no maps, the trains only have one level and therefore so much less seating and they only tell you the final destination. LAME. Anyhoo, after a while of 'where are you? where am I? WHATS GOING ON!?', Rach and I got on a tram. Missed our stop. Walked around for long time. Found the missing asian mini-mart. Consumed cake. Marvelled at trippy owl backbacks. People watched at Federation Square. Twas awesome. I quite like Melbourne. There's some pretty cool people there ( I'm judging by their shoes. I think it's a pretty good indicator ). Yeah. So Rach had to be back to the boarding house by 9.30 so I got my aunt to pick me up because she offered and I already hated the trains with an acute intensity. But it was cold and I didn't want to wait outside in a foreign city... Ok, it was only the cold bothering me but I didn't want to sound completely hopeless. Anyway, avoiding the cold in a hotel foyer. They had awesome chairs. I was tempted to take a picture but I already felt odd enough that I was sitting in a random hotel. And then car trip back. Yip Yip.

DAY 2. Uncle and small ones took me to VIC markets ( YEAH, one more down! ). This is my little cousins in the car. Iris is pretend yawning. She's such a drama queen, it's hilarious. I really hope she grows out of the 'long hair and pink are my favourites' stage. Anyway. Markets. They're amazing. I could literally spend hours in there. I did spend hours in there. More hours then. They have fabulous cheese :) and clothes and shoes and jewellery and STUFF. Oh, yeah and wigs.

This is my cousin in a pink wig. Isn't she adorable?? NAWWW. I tried on this punk rocker blue crop style wig. Twas rad. But 50$. And it made my eyebrows look weird. So no extra blue hair for me. YUP. Left markets and Rach. WHAT ELSE DID I DO ON SATURDAY? darn memory, letting me down. Oh yeah. I found out there was a bathroom in my room. An en suite. I didn't explore my room at all. Woops.

DAY 3. I went to Danish school! It was fun. I felt so awkward though. I hardly understood anything. I was a sheep puppet in my aunts play. All I said was "yah". Which is Danish for "yes". EVERYONE WAS BLONDE. And then I watched Iris' class. They sang a song about a bear and then got chased. I got cranky at the feral kids. Then we went to ikea and marvelled at the marvellousness that is ikea. And then back to their home in Sunburry.
In the afternoon I had an intense desire to shop. So I took their other car ( i forgot to take a pic of the outside. SORRY! and it was amazing too ) and went down to the local shops and laughed hysterically at their sad excuse of shopping. Which was all closed anyway.
Flower buying then illegal photo taking of investment property for parents ( it wasn't really illegal, just felt that way. Empty house, no one around, taking pics and trying not to fall over on uneven soil ). I managed to get around by following a map. That's fucking amazing. That night, after dinner, little cousin Henry, who is only 18 months, was eating a yogurt. Which is mostly boring but he had the spoon in his mouth, and then was moving it up and down while watching it cross eyed. He looked so much like a chameleon. NAWWW.

DAY 4. Plane home! Which was hilarious because we were running extreme late. And it was my aunts birthday. And I got to the airport with literally minutes to spare. Then experienced the worst tasting cookie in the universe. Got asked more questions about flying and airports. Didn't get a window seat. And the woman next to me had fuzzy hair so I couldn't even see past her to the window. I've never been surprised by landing before. Yup. And then I went straight to uni. With my suitcase. SO MUCH FUN. ( this was where I would include illustration of how the size of my suitcase compared to the guy on the train this morning. He made me feel so much better ).

Ok, so I get to cross off travel to a new place and the market one, and I went two days without a computer ( I know, I'm still alive, crazy, right? ). This makes me happy.
The End.

This just reminded me of a bunch of guys from school. Which made me laugh. The 'gabba' bit. YUP.

MuchLove.

lazy.

I am ridiculously lazy. That's the only excuse I can offer; I've done nothing really of significance to the list so I didn't write. PATHETIC, I know.

But I did have an adventure =] It was good fun. I met mother dearest in the city and we went to the rocks moonlight markets and then went to a pub for dinner. So yay for 1 of 10 for 25).
They had some really awesome things but were ridiculously over priced. I fell in love with so many summery dresses only to be crushed by the 130$ and upwards price tag. Ergh. The jewellery was amazing too; there were these rings with scrabble pieces and earrings with domino pieces which really inspired me to steal their idea and blatently call it my own.

I played piano again for a bit. I know how impatient T gets so I tried to learn ahead so I could explain with ease. This next bit had two hands and counting and WOAH. but I figured it out eventually. It was fun but it'll be a while before I can play the kind of song I want to on piano for 41).

53). is annoying. My laziness attacks all aspects of my life. Especially when it comes to physical activity. I enjoy sitting. Tonight I ran for 45 mins; *cough* attepted to run *cough*. Parts of it were walking, parts were swearing fluently, but i didn't collapse on the ground this time. I turn into the biggest bitch when I can't breath properly. I'll get to the point where I can run for longer distances without dying. Hopefully.

I am beyond amazed at how Karl's tattoos have turned out. They're beautiful. He got peace and grace but in greek and hebrew across his wrists. I want to go do 55). now!! I do not, however, have 100$ to spare at the moment. Which I still believe is ridiculously overpriced. It's ten tiny lines on my skull, how dangerous can it be? =P

To prove my laziness... I have watched some Sailor Moon. It's still beyond epic. I love it to bits. I just found out there's 200 episodes. The same thing happens in every single ep. I'm glad I have a while to complete this because as much as I love it, it gets repetitive and I then have to watch something else. Like Stargate Universe. It's amazing. Sailor Moon though, I'm up to ep 44, I do believe. Slowly but surely, as they say.

Oh and quick tip... vodka only pretends to be your friend.
